Friends
Friendship is what I’ve needed most in life. It’s why I’m not playing football in college while learning my true purpose in life. My mind was always on the right track but my childhood surroundings held me back. Not one of my friends are role models, but I looked up to them. They were what I though “I” wanted to be. My “true self”. What I could have done haunts me each hard working day.
I never saw it coming, the peer pressure, from coldhearted children of today. Everyone for themselves is their motto and they represent it well. I guess I was stuck in the wrong time and place. Life sucks. That’s true.
Then at my lowest point a princess only heard of in fairy tales came to my rescue. A friend that was sent when I was near the end. This angel was not here to pretend. Her time was short, just enough to direct me in the correct path. I almost turned back but a caring heart opened up. You stopped by my work one day,
I saw you and soon we started hanging out every day.
I needed a person to want to have me around,
I assumed there was no one like that in this town.
If you keep your promise about working out,
Life will be easier for the both of us without a doubt.
