Cowboy Christmas/There will be a Christmas.
He lays under nature's Christmas tree,
Decorated with the evening star atop.
He gets down on a bended knee.
And for a moment time seems to stop,
At the hands of the clock,
on the Christmas morn,
The Christ child was born.
He takes off His worn out hat,
And looks up to the sky,
He whispered I know that,
someday I'll look you in the eye,
His old boots were worn.
As he looked for a old barn,
To keep warm before a winter storm.
He thought of a manager where a child once lay,
In a bed of straw and hay,
On a bended knee he started to pray,
Thank you God for that Christmas Day,
When on Christmas morn,
A christ child was born,
to die so I could be saved,
My trail has already been paved,
I know the way,
I'll ride home some day,
As long as the stars exist,
There will be a cowboy Christmas,
From the evening star,
And Christmas eve.
Past every war,
To the hearts that believe,
As long as the stars exist,
As long as the birds fly,
A cowboy will always ride,
To find the savior that died.
For the evening star will always shine,
Though the hands of time,
A top nature's tree,
Across every sea,
To give light to those who are blind.
and to shine where the Christ child is,
There will be a Christmas.
