The real meaning of x-mas!
Mathew was a very rich man, like many other he forgot about his family and friends and he only thought about getting richer and richer. When Christmas arrived he made a big dinner and invited all his town just so they could give him presents, he bought the littlest turkey that he found for the poor people, which was most of them, and he bought two huge turkeys only for him, the town’s mayor and some other “important” people. He was very mad since some of the poor people only said “Merry Christmas” and didn’t gave him presents.
Andrew, one of the poor ones told him that Christmas isn’t just about money, or gifts, he said it was about being with your family and friends. Andrew was smarter than Mathew, but maybe he was wrong too…Andrew decided to spend Christmas at his house with all his family even if they had very little money, they were happy. But when Andrew’s grandfather had a hearth attack they got very sad and thought Christmas was nothing without the complete family together. He thought people that thiChristmasmas is about money are selfish, maybe they are, but maybe Andrew wasn't correct after all.
A man who didn't went to the dinner, the only one in town not invited, named John was alone, he was ninety-five years old, he didn't have any family and was celebrating Christmas all alone, without gifts or family or friends. But even though he looked really happy, when Andrew was going on his way home and saw John he felt sorry for him. But then Andrew saw that John was very happy. He was very surprised, after all he was old and alone. Andrdecidedded to ask John why was he that happy, John answered "I'm not alone, Jesus is in my heart and he never leaves me alone, and for what will I need more gifts? Jesus already gave his life for me."
Many people think Christmas is about gifts, a big dinner or money. Some people think Christmas is about being with your family and friends, but I think that Christmas is really about a feeling in your heart, about loving Jesus and being thankful...
Just remember: Christmas maybe about gifts,money,family or friends...but don't you think that it has that name for something? CHRIST-mas
