I became a scriptwriter, stage director and performer in one after winning the monologue contest on December 16, 1973 and Short Story by Lola Basyang in 1976. This went on both in my school and congregation as masscomm society president, editor-in-chief of The College Leader and of WE SPEAK magazine, drama guild vice president, scholar, associate editor of The Academe, International Varsity Christian Fellowship executive chairman, Christian Brotherhood International student adviser, school delegate of the College Editors' Guild of the Philippines and assisting chairman of Literary club.
In 1985, I worked as a city journalist, radio drama scriptwriter, news reporter and transcriber. I also became an intensive English teacher to Korean, Thai and Chinese nationals back home in the 90s. I also contributed most of my original works to Toronto based news journal as well as to online magazines. I self-published my first book in Autumn of 1999 via Watermark Press in Maryland, USA. I also had several poems included in the Anthology books of the Poetry Guild and The National Library of Poetry. |
